We treat a variety of skin conditions for patients of all ages, including but not limited to the conditions stated below.
Acne is a very common disorder of the skin that affects individuals of all ages. Acne is characterized by comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), red papules and pustules, and sometimes cysts and nodules. These lesions affect the face, jawline, neck, chest, back and shoulders. Acne often first occurs during puberty.
To treat these lesions, once they are diagnosed as benign, we utilize yag lasers, (aerolase), intense pulse light therapy, topical therapy and sometimes acid peels and cryotherapy. Proper sun blocking with some of our excellent sun blockers is a must.
When a patient presents with hair loss, known as alopecia, we do a thorough examination and work-up to diagnose the specific type of alopecia they have. This may include lab tests and biopsies. Treatment will vary based on the type of alopecia.
Rosacea is a common condition of facial skin characterized by flushing or redness with or without pimples, most commonly on the central face. People with rosacea tend to have sensitive skin, which often stings, tingles or burns.
We are very skilled at diagnosing and treating various disorders of the nail, from fungal infections to ingrown nails. Our treatment options are oral and topical medications, laser therapy and minor surgical procedures.
Skin cancer is the most common form of human cancers, affecting more than one million Americans every year. One in five Americans will develop skin cancer at some point in their lives. Skin cancers are generally curable if caught early.
