FILLERS & BOTOX

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC

Over time, due to aging, wrinkles develop on your face, and nasolabial folds may become more visible. The cheeks may flatten and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is designed to temporarily add volume to the facial wrinkles for a smoother appearance to the face which provides lift and contour to the cheek area providing natural-looking and long-lasting results- that last up to 2 years with optimal treatment. The lidocaine in the gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain. The most common side effects include temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, pain, redness, discoloration, and itching. Side effects were moderate (uncomfortable), and generally lasted 2 to 4 weeks. As with all skin injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is injected into the areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur, including the "parentheses lines" around the nose and mouth temporarily correcting these for a smoother appearance to the face. The lidocaine in the gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain. Its been clinically studied that JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC lasts up to 18 months, with optimal treatment. The most common side effects include firmness, swelling, tenderness to touch, lumps/bumps, redness, pain, bruising, itching, and discoloration at the injection site. These side effects were usually mild or moderate in nature (causing little to some discomfort and impact on daily activities) and lasted 14 days or less.

JUVÉDERM® XC

The most commonly reported side effects of JUVÉDERM® XC injectable gels were temporary injection-site redness, swelling, pain/tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration. They were predominantly mild or moderate in nature and lasted 7 days or less.

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC

The lidocaine gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain. JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC lasts up to 1 year, with optimal treatment. The most common side effects include temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, pain, redness, discoloration, and itching. JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC

JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC is an injectable gel that temporarily adds more fullness and plumps thin lips—whether your lips have thinned over time or you simply want fuller lips. JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC is also approved for smoothing and correcting moderate to severe parentheses lines, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the nose and mouth) temporarily adding volume to facial tissue and restoring a smoother appearance to the face. RADIESSE

RADIESSE is comprised of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. Once injected, it provides immediate volume and correction and continues to work by stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen for a long-lasting effect. Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres, leaving behind only your own natural collagen. Collagen is the main structural protein in our skin–it’s what helps it feel and look tight, taught, and youthful. As we age, the production of collagen slows down, causing skin to sag. RADIESSE is a collagen stimulator.  It stimulates the body’s process of generating collagen and encourages growth, for a more refreshed appearance, so beauty can bloom. RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) are used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth). RADIESSE® is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands. The most common adverse events seen in clinical studies of RADIESSE® used in the hands include bruising, redness, swelling, pain, itching, nodules or bumps/lumps, difficulty performing activities, loss of sensation and other local side effects. The most common adverse events seen in clinical studies of RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) used in the face include bruising, redness, swelling, pain, itching and other local side effects.

Kybella

The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.  A patient usually needs between 2-6 treatments. The most common side effects of Kybella are swelling, pain, numbness, redness, and areas of hardness in the treatment area.

Botox

Botox Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA approved injection that is inserted into your muscles to temporarily smooth the lines around the sides of your eyes, forehead and between your brows.  It reduces this muscle activity so you'll begin to notice a visible smoothing of these lines. Results may be seen as little as 24-48 hours after a treatment with 2 weeks for maximum effect. Botox can last up to 4 months after initial treatment but varies per patient. Botox is made from sources that exist in nature.  It contains tiny amounts of a highly purified protein. Possible side effect: In clinical studies, 3% of patients experienced eyelid drooping in the frown lines studies and 1% of patients experienced eyelid swelling in the crows feet studies. Dry mouth, discomfort/ pain at injection site, tiredness, headache, neck pain, and eye problems.

Xeomin

Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is injected into specific muscles in your forehead that cause frown lines between your eyes brows.  Neurotoxins block the release of chemicals that cause these muscle contractions. Lines are softened and skin appears smooth. It takes affect in 1- 10 days and lasts 3-4 months depending on the patient. What makes Xeomin unique is its precise manufacturing process that isolates the therapeutic component of the molecule and removes unnecessary proteins that don't play a role in treatment.  Headache was the most common side effect.

Jeuveau®

Jeuveau® is a modern-made neurotoxin produced using a state-of-the-art manufacturing process. Jeuveau® (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) injection–a prescription medicine is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) for a period of time usually lasting around 4 months depending on the patient. The most commonly reported side effects in clinical trials include headache, eyelid drooping, upper respiratory tract infection and increased white blood cell count. No serious drug-related adverse events were observed in the studies.
